Erie County republicans celebrated the grand opening of the new republican headquarters on Edinboro Road Saturday.
Local republicans say a permanent headquarters was much needed to help encourage people to come out and vote.
Dan Laughlin is running for state senate for district 49 against incumbent Sean Wiley.
He says with the primaries around the corner, it’s important to have a location people can if they need anything.
Laughlin says, “This is going to be the headquarters for awhile and one of the big goals here is to try to get people to register to vote. That’s going to be one of the main things that we have an actual presence now.”
Pennsylvania primaries are April 26th.
