Republican Nominee for Governor Scott Wagner Resigns from State Senate

The Republican Nominee for Governor is quitting his day job.    

In a brief letter, Scott Wagner announced he will resign from the State Senate. That letter to Senate President Pro Tem Joe Scarnatti indicates the resignation will be effective next Monday, June 4th at 11:59 p.m. According to numerous reports tonight, the move was made to allow Wagner to dedicate all of his time and energy to the governor’s race. Wagner has represented the York area in the Senate for four years.
