Two people will spend life behind bars for setting up a crime that left one man in a wheelchair and another man dead.
Today, Jalen Reynolds and Taisha Santiago returned to the Erie County Courthouse for sentencing. In June, a jury found both defendants guilty of second-degree murder. They’re charged in the June 2017 shooting death of David Tate, Jr.
Reynolds chose to speak in court, still maintaining his innocence. The judge sentenced both defendants to life in prison without parole.
Another woman allegedly involved in Tate’s murder, Lashonta Dade, is scheduled to enter her plea at 1:30 this afternoon. Her plea is scheduled to happen in Judge Brabender’s courtroom.
