Area hotels are checking in riders as they roll in to Erie. In fact, hotels are booked up for the rest of the week, into the weekend, thanks to the 170,000 people expected in for Roar on the Shore.
The General Manager of the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel says they started seeing reservations pour in around eight months ago. This is one of the busier weeks for hotels in the area.
“It’s a very fun group,” says Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel Manager, Daniel Pora. “We love having the Roar on the Shore crowd here at the hotel. Very fun group, very respectful. I really enjoy it; it’s a great time.”
Gannon University is also renting out rooms for riders. They say 220 bikers are bunking at the college and there are still rooms available.
