ERIE, Pa. — More than 170,000 people are expected to visit the 11th Roar on the Shore this week.

As visitors celebrate bike culture, they are also remembering fallen riders.

Jesse James Dupree, lead singer and guitarist of rock band Jackyl signed autographs before he and his band performed during the Fallen Riders Memorial Concert on Wednesday night.

Prior to the concert, nearly 200 motorcyclists rode from Penn State Behrend to Perry Square for the third annual Fallen Riders Memorial Run. Bikers raised $4,000 to benefit the families of fallen bikers.

Wednesday’s events kicked off the region’s largest bike rally, which attracts visitors from across the country and internationally.
