The clean-up is just getting started at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community.
Yesterday’s tornado forced more than 160 residents to be evacuated. The strong winds left significant damage to the property. Dozens of volunteers are lending a hand to get the facility ready for the residents to return.
Tanya Bish, Rolling Fields Administrator, says, “I can’t stress enough what a wonderful job my staff did. Everybody did exactly what they were supposed to do. From the time we got the warning, we had about ten minutes before the storm hit.”
Residents are now staying at several different senior living centers in the area. Administrators hope the residents are able to come back to Rolling Fields within the next few weeks.
