Baseball is back in Erie. The Seawolves are taking the field Thursday night for their season home opener.
Erie’s minor league baseball team is hoping for a successful season ahead. The team says it’s excited to have manager Lance perish back. They say the team is mixed with veterans and young talent. The team expects to compete for a division title this year.
The ballpark is also investing more than $20,000 in new concessions, equiptment and food. Team managers say people will be talking about the special hot dogs, such as the Diablo Dog or the Porker, which has pulled pork on it. The team also has new ice cream options, including a large ice cream sundae served in a giant helmet.
They also have a new in game entertainment with giant zorb balls.
The game begins at 6:30.
The Seawolves take on the Binghamton Mets. Tickets are still available.
