SeaWolves support World No Tobacco Day

Local News
Erie SeaWolves fans are out to “kick some butt.”
Erie County Health Department teams up with TRU, or the Tobacco Resistance Unit, to promote World No Tobacco day at Jerry Uht Park.
The game begins with TRU speaking about a tobacco free life. They set up their promotion table showing young adults and kids the results of using tobacco.
Dahlekemper says, “The fewer places people have to smoke, the less likely people will smoke and they can kick the habit if they are already smoking.”
She also says, ” It’s particularly important to reach out to our young people 12 to 18 years of age because that is often when it begins and becomes hard to kick.”
Jerry Uht Park is one of many places taking a stand against public smoking.
