Seneca High School Students raise money for Make-A-Wish

Local News

Students at one local high school are finding creative ways to fundraise for a great cause.

The National Honor Society Club at Seneca High School has led a school-wide fundraising campaign for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Students held several fundraisers involving faculty, staff, and students of the school.  Today’s fundraiser was titled, ‘Walking for Wishes’.

Autumn Biebel, President of Seneca High’s National Honor Society, says, “It’s not even explainable.  It’s just a good feeling to be able to help somebody.  And if we do end up granting the wish; we’ll know who that wish went to.  So, we’ll actually be able to see the impact that we’ve made.”

Elizabeth Diehl, School Counselor and NHS Overseer, says, “It’s great to see them giving to others and it’s great to see them getting excited for a good cause.”

They’ve already raised more than half of their $4,000 goal to help make a kid’s wish come true.
