A local organization gives back to its volunteers while also celebrating its supporters tonight.

ServErie host its first “ServErie Celebration” in an effort to raise money and awareness for upcoming projects initiatives. Guests enjoy food prepared by Erie High culinary students, entertainment from music students and a silent auction. Executive Director Marcus Atkinson, Mayor Schember and Superintendent Brian Polito were on-hand to speak to the success of ServErie at Erie High and throughout the Erie Area.

“It’s a great opportunity to provide for our supporters and for our volunteers to come and give back to them and to have that event in a school we worked on last summer,” said Ashley Westgate, Community Coordination Lead for ServErie.

ServErie is comprised of Erie churches, community groups and school groups that provide volunteer services.
