It’s going to be a busy overnight outside of Senator Pat Toomey’s Erie office as several organizations hold a 24 hour vigil.

The 24 hour vigil began at 2 p.m. this afternoon. Organizers of the event say the purpose of the gathering is to ask Senator Toomey why he feels the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, should be repealed. They also want to send a thank you to Senator Bob Casey for his vote that helped stop the “skinny” repeal of Obamacare.

“Millions of people will lose their health insurance if the Republican Congress pursues a path which removes Medicaid expansion from varies states to repeal ACA,” said organizer David Moore.

Keystone Progress, Erie County United, Planned Parenthood PA Advocates, along with Northwest Pride Alliance and Greater Erie Alliance for Equality are some of the organizations participating in this 24 hour vigil.
