PennDOT’s northwest region launched its 2017 online survey, asking customers in Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties for their input to help the agency identify opportunities to improve its operations.
Customers are being asked to tell PennDOT what is important to them in areas such as road smoothness, traffic flow, construction, safety, customer service, and communications. The survey asks motorists and pedestrians to rate PennDOT’s performance in those areas.
“We see this survey as an opportunity to have our customers help us examine and improve our operations,” said PennDOT District 1 Executive William G. Petit. “The views of our customers are very important to us. We are asking residents of northwestern Pennsylvania to participate in this year’s survey and help District 1 continue to improve our performance.”
Information from past surveys has helped District 1 identify issues with specific roads, and has been considered in the decision-making process in areas such as nighttime roadwork, setting up work zones, accelerated construction projects, planning, and winter maintenance.
The 2017 survey has been restructured to make it easier and more convenient, but still provide critical data that will help District 1 make better decisions when planning work on our roads.
The survey is located at www.surveymonkey.com/r/D1DOT and can also be accessed at the PennDOT website at www.penndot.gov by clicking on “Regional Offices,” then clicking on the map for District 1 in northwestern Pennsylvania, and finally clicking on the survey link.
The survey will be available until November 22, 2017.
