Social media plays a key role in the Vegas tragedy, as well. We conducted a Facebook poll this morning and asked people where they first heard about the disaster. 60% of people said they first heard about the Las Vegas shooting online.
The other results were: Television 28%, Radio 5%, Friends/Family 3%, Phone App. 3%, and one person was even there on business, locked down in her hotel last night.
Still, thousands of people across the country found out about the Vegas shooting by checking Facebook and Twitter. These people sharing their thoughts on social media. Many sending thoughts and prayers, others even asking if anyone has heard from their loved ones in Vegas.
