Millions of fish are on their way into lake Erie this week, but before they go, the Sons of Lake Erie welcomed everyone in for a look.
In the beginning of April, the Sons of Lake Erie welcomed millions of fish eggs.
But now that the fish eggs have hatched, they will be release into the bay Monday.
The Open House also served as an opportunity for people to learn more about what the organization does.
Member Rich Brine says, “In the summer, we’re just busy taking groups fishing. Some of our events are open to the public. Most of it happens at the waterworks pond on Peninsula. And it’s usually a good time for everybody. We can’t guarantee you’ll catch a fish, but usually they do.”
The open house runs again Sunday from 12 to 4.
