Peek’n Peak Resort is celebrating spring with the annual Springfest on Saturday, March 11.
The fun starts at 11AM with the Cardboard Box Derby on the Tubing Hill. Spectators can watch as cardboard
artists take their slope vehicles made of cardboard, glue, tape and paper down the hill. Brave skiers and
snowboarders will show off their skills at the annual pondskimming event at 2 p.m. This wacky trek across a
man-made pond will be held at the base of chair 1 and 2.
The Spring Fest festivities will also include an on-mountain DJ, a chili bar, hot chocolate bar, and a slope side
bar. New this year, we will be having reps from four different breweries sampling their spring beers. The vendors include Southern Tier, New Belgium, Founders and 4 Mile! All events are free and spectators and costumes are encouraged.
“Spring Fest is a great way to end the ski season. The events are amazing to watch, and we encourage
people to come out and enjoy the creativity,” said Nick Scott Jr., Vice-President and owner of Scott
Enterprises, which owns Peek’n Peak Resort. “Spectators are certainly welcome! Come cheer these guys
