St. Vincent and Allegheny Health Network break ground on new facility

Local News

St. Vincent hospital and Allegheny Health Network are continuing their expansion by breaking ground today on a new facility located on the east side of Erie county.

The new Health and Wellness Pavilion- East Side will be located on Buffalo Rd in Harborcreek township. Contractors are remodeling the current St. Vincent Urgent Care-East building and adding an additional sixteen thousand square foot expansion. The facility will bring together comprehensive services in one convenient location.

Dr. Chris Clark, president of St. Vincent Hospital, says “bringing care closer to the communities that they’re built in so we’ll have specialists that come here from orthopedics, to podiatry, to dermatology, and we’re looking at others.”

St. Vincent hospital physician Dr. Chris Serafini also adds “my primary care office right  now, we’re just primary care. We don’t have urgent care attached, we don’t have a lab attached, physical therapy or anything like that, so it will be nice, you know, if something comes up we can send them down the hall and have those resources available.”

The more than ten million dollar project is expected to be completed early next year.
