State College shooter and victims’ names released…

Three people are dead following a shooting at a bar in State College. The gunman going on a shooting spree, killing three people before taking his own life.  

According to Police, 21-year-old Jordan Witmer started shooting at the bar just before 10:30 last night.

Witmer allegedly killing a woman and injuring two other patrons.  The suspected shooter fleeing, then crashing his car before breaking into a nearby home where he shot the homeowner while his wife hid in the bathroom.

Cops say before they arrived on scene, the shooter had taken his own life.  

Investigators say the motive for the rampage remains a mystery.

Chief of Police for State College John Gardner says, “It’s Happy Valley, we like to think these things can’t happen here. But, one of the things it makes you realize is that it can happen here and it does happen here.  I guess it’s a sign of the times in the world we  live in here.”

The Centre County Coroner released the names of two victims; 62-year-old Dean beachy and 83-year-old George McCormick.
