Fifth grade students are turning over a new leaf.
It was the 18th Annual Arbor Day Celebration for hundreds of Erie students.
Seven schools of fifth graders filled Frontier Park for hands-on lessons about trees, plants, rocks, and everything in between.
The hope is to educate students and help them value nature.
The director says fifth grade is a good time to start with these lessons because there’s a good chance they’ll stick with these students.
