Summit Township to receive financial assistance to upgrade water pump station

Local News

Summit Township is getting some financial assistance to upgrade a water pump station.

A 2.5 million dollar loan has been awarded to Summit Township Sewer Authority to replace an existing pump station on Oliver Road.

The project will allow for new connections to the existing waste water system while also reducing untreated or inadequate treated discharges into local waterways.

The funding is part of a 117 million dollar statewide investment in water infrastructure projects.
