Tensions ran high Monday night at the Summit Township supervisors meeting.
Residents voiced their concerns over the changing of stop signs at Cherry Street Extension and Johnson Road. A couple of days ago, the township removed the stop sign on Cherry Street Extension, leaving one stop sign at Johnson Road. There were two accidents at the intersection this past Friday. After residents expressed their concerns over the dangers of the lack of signs, Summit Township recently added a three way stop sign to the intersection.
“That’s a blessing because it’s a lot easier to get your vehicle stopped if someone is even doing a roll stop at the stop sign,” said Summit Township resident Aprill Blackford. “They’re not coming at you as fast and you can woe up.”
