Surveillance footage allegedly shows Holt shooting Officer Shaw

Police arrested the man they say gunned down a New Kensington Police Officer.  According to Pennsylvania State Police 29-year-old Rahmael Sal Holt is now in police custody.  

Holt has been potentially identified as the suspect who shot and killed Officer Brian Shaw.  Police are reviewing surveillance video they believe shows Holt gunning down Officer Shaw following a traffic stop and foot chase.  John Peck, District Attorney, says, “you can see a gun flash and Officer Shaw appears to be hit and you can see the person he was chasing go down the alley and run south.”

Tavon Harper is being held on $500,000 bail on drug and fleeing charges after being arrested at his home on Saturday.  Police say he’s the alleged driver in the incident.
