A suspect in a ‘smash-and-grab’ robbery now faces federal charges.

Investigators say 19-year-old Roderick Brown took part in stealing $141,000 worth of jewelry from the Jared Galleria of Jewelry on Interchange Road November 19th.

Officials originally said up to three people could’ve been involved in the heist.

Brown faced numerous charges in Erie County Court for the incident, but those charges were dropped today at his preliminary hearing due to the case moving forward in federal court.
