Suspect in box-cutter attack has prelim postponed for mental evaluation

The preliminary hearing was postponed for a man charged with a box-cutter attack.

30-year-old Steveland Robinson is charged with trying to rob a woman, then proceeding to cut her face and throat with a box-cutter. 

Robinson faces several charges including aggravated assault and possessing instruments of crime.  Today, he was scheduled to have a preliminary hearing but it was postponed so the defendant could have a mental evaluation.  

There is no new date set at this point.
