Take Back the Site vigil held for young man in Erie last night

Local News

Taking back the site from a deadly act of violence in Erie.

Family, friends, and community members gathered to honor Jose Rosario, Jr. Wednesday.  Rosario, a young man who lost his life during a shooting at his home, was honored last night at his residence on Reed Street.

Rosario was only 18-years-old when he died and his family is still searching for answers.  The shooting that took the young man’s life happened on October 15th when someone forced their way into his family’s apartment.

Social Justice Coordinator for the Sisters of St. Joseph, Betsy Wiest, tells us, “we weep for this… This is unconscionable.”

Erie Police have not identified any suspects, but Rosario’s parents are offering a reward for any information about their son’s death.
