The Erie Latino Leadership Association hosted the 3rd annual Hispanic Heritage Festival. Co-founder of the association Diego Andujar has believes the Festival shows everyone the beauty and vibrancy of the Hispanic culture.
“I love the part about gathering the community together and sharing different ideas,” said Andujar.
The Hispanic Festival helps several churches raise money and meet the community face to face. Pastor of the Iglesia Bautista El Calvario Church on Plum street Sonny Concepcion says the church is taking part in the festival for the second time.
“The festival is going to allow us to reach more people and that’s what we’re doing today, helping the church,” said Concepcion.
Next year the goal is to have more participants in the Erie Latino Leaders Association and have a parade alongside the Festival.
