The aftermath of the snow storm leaves snow plowers busy with work

Local News

Tony Rodriguez’s family business I & M snow removal services have been plowing for the law offices on State Street. The plowing will take him a day and a half to complete.

“Yeah definately like I said we’ve been up since 12 last night and still going we’ll probably keep on going until the next morning,” said Rodriguez.

Rodriguez and his family have 45 clients on their list for snow plowing and other additional phone calls. When it comes to plowing after a storm like this just about everyone needs a snow thrower.

Snow throwers last you 15-20 years depending on how you take care of them. Gerlach’s Garden & Floral has been busy with customers rushing in for last minute supplies.

“Well we thought we’d get snow over night you never know how much your gonna get but we expected it to be busy today with people having to use their equipment and needing parts for it,” said sales manager Harvey Waldanger.

Belts and cables for snow throwers were high in demand. To take care of a snow thrower once a year you should change the oil, spark plug, and make sure you grease it.
