Just like juicy fall apples YMCA Camp Sherwin’s 8th annual Apple Fest has a variety of activities to keep the people of Erie smiling. It’s a time to enjoy all things fun and fall.

“I love it I’ve been performing here for 3 years and volunteering,” said Catie Abbate.

Kids had the chance to get their hands dirty and sling an apple in to the pond. “It’s good to meet people and see everyone coming together for this festival there is a lot of beauty here,” said Alona Campbell.

The donut on the string competition has been going on as long as the festival. The winner gets a box of donuts.

Families got to taste sweet apple treats including home made dumplings and cider. Entertainment from local musicians and performance troops added more flavor to this great event.
