The fourth annual Bowling for Autism strives to raise awareness

Local News

For Merenda Deimling the topic of Autism hits close to home. Her son Keagan was diagnosed with severe Autism at the tender age of two. Keagan is nonverbal and uses Novachat to communicate with others.

It’s wonderful it makes my heart melt, said Deimling. Hashtag Team Keagan was made six years ago. Now at the age of eight Deimling says her son Keagan is thriving in many ways.

After the entry fee you can have 3 games and an entry into the Chinese auction, but Bolwing for Autism is more than pizza and pop, the event has raised thousands of dollars over the years.

All the proceeds from the event will go to the Autism Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania. The Walk for Autism will be held on Saturday April 27th at Presque Isle Beach 11.
