The Islamic Cultural Center of Erie started their March of Unity at Gridley Park. The was held to remember the Islamic leader Hussein who stood for humanity and saving people from oppression.
In the Erie community the march is held to create awareness of the Islamic culture. The march is a solemn event which includes grief and mourning.
“I feel like this is a responsibility at first and it is also an honor to participate in marches especially in the united states, ” said Imam Muntadher Aljabery.
The March ended at Parade and 26th Street.
