The Mount Pleasant cardboard box sled derby brought out the creativity in participants

Local News

It was the perfect day to go sledding at Mount Pleasant in Edinboro. The Mount Pleasant Cardboard box sled derby took place on the ski hill.

Children hand crafted their sleds using cardboards, paint, tape, rope, and more. Sleds were inspired by cartoons and military.

“It brings out their creativity and parents get the chance to work together with their kids,” said owner Laura Sinsabaugh.

Awards included first place, most creative, and best fail. Winners of the competition received gift cards to Mount Pleasant.
