The president reacts to the rally in Virginia

President Donald Trump lashing out over criticism of his initial statement about the violence in Virginia over the weekend in a confrontational news conference at Trump Tower.

The president defending his decision to wait two days to condemn the white supremacists in Charlottesville by name.  He also defended his initial statement, saying there are “very fine people” on both sides.

Trump says, “I’ve condemned neo-nazis. I’ve condemned many different groups. Not all of those people were neo-nazis, believe me…  What about the alt. left that came charging at, as you say, at the alt. right? Do they have any assemblage of guilt?”

And today, the fallout continues.  Now, six members have pulled out of the president’s manufacturing council.  Trump brushing off the departures, saying the CEO’s are just embarrassed because their companies outsource their manufacturing.
