ERIE, Pa. — The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is offering a three-day, combined antlered and antlerless deer hunt at Presque Isle State Park.
The hunt is planned for Dec. 7-9 to help reduce the park’s deer population.
On each day of the three-day hunt, 85 hunters will be allowed to hunt using shotguns with slugs, black-powder muzzleloaders or archery equipment for both antlered and antlerless deer.
All permitted hunters are encouraged to bring with them one “hunting buddy” to assist them during their hunt. The “hunting buddy” must be a licensed Pennsylvania hunter and will not be permitted to carry a firearm.
Individuals wishing to participate in the hunt must apply at the park office – located on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center – by 2 p.m. Dec. 6. The application process will begin on Nov. 14.
