Titusville business owner comments on latest fire

Local News

The investigation into another destructive fire in downtown Titusville is underway.  9-1-1 calls started coming in just after 4:30am on Thursday for a fire inside a building at 116 Diamond Street.  Within a half an hour, flames had busted through the roof.

A first-floor barber shop and Missy’s Arcade restaurant were damaged by water and smoke.  Owner of the restaurant, Missy Wescoat, says, “When I got to work around 4:30, I unlocked the door and my restaurant was full of smoke. So, I went thru my place trying to find the fire and when I opened the basement door it was full of smoke so I called the fire department”.

A total of nine fire departments from Crawford, Warren, Venango, and Erie counties were called to help fight the fire.  No injuries are reported.
