Today’s ‘Day at the Beach’ focuses on the Sunset Music Series beginning June 13th

Local News

This week’s ‘Day at the Beach’ is really a story about sunset at the beach, as in the Sunset Music Series, set to return to Presque Isle State Park.

Nothing quite says summer like a warm sunset and cool music.  Visitors can expect that once again on Presque Isle this summer with the return of the Sunset Music Series starting June 13th and will last the next six Wednesdays.

There’s at least two bands every Wednesday beginning at 5:30, with one exception, since July 4th is on a Wednesday, that concert will be twice as nice.

Jon DeMarco, Presque Isle Partnership’s Executive Director, says, “Somebody who purchases a raffle ticket down at the Sunset Music Series may be able to win a happy hour cruise on the Lettie G. Howard for up to 37 people which is really really cool.”

The UPMC Sunset Music Series begins June 13th and runs through July 18th.  The Wednesday concerts start at 5:30pm, with the exception of July 4th, when four bands begin at 1:30pm.

This year, look for food trucks, raffle prizes, and more.
