Opening arguments began this afternoon for a man charged in delivering a deadly dose of fentanyl.
This week, 29-year-old Chester Carr is on trial in the Erie County Courthouse. Investigators say Carr set up the drug deal that left a 21-year-old woman dead.
In a pre-trial hearing, his attorney made the case that he should not be charged because he didn’t deliver the drugs himself, but the District Attorney’s Office disagreed.
Prosecution testimony is now underway.
