A Pennsylvania State Police Corporal is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit in Bethlehem after being shot during a traffic stop.
The shooting happened around 10:30am today along Route 33 in Plainfield Township. Officials say the trooper was outside of his vehicle when the two exchanged fire. The suspect then fled the scene. Pennsylvania State Police say the suspect who shot a trooper during a routine traffic stop is now in custody.
The suspect drove himself to the hospital after suffering gunshot wounds. The corporal is at another hospital, also being treated for multiple gunshot wounds.
