A new year leads to new openings at the Erie County Courthouse.

Erie County Judge John Garhart will be retiring at the end of the month after 13 years on the job.  Following right behind, Judge William Cunningham plans to retire in January.  Cunningham has been a judge since 1995, after serving as the Erie County District Attorney.

Due to state law, Cunningham’s position will not appear on the 2019 ballot, but Garhart’s position will.
