Two veteran school board directors will not seek re-election

Local News

ERIE, Pa. — Two veteran Erie School Board directors have decided not to run for re-election, leaving four seats open on the board.

Ed Brzezinski and Mary Frances Schenley have both decided to leave the board at the end of their term.

Brzezinski, a retired district counselor and teacher, has served on the Erie School Board since 2005.

Schenley has been a school director for a total of 14 years. She said she has enjoyed every minute of her time on the board, but is not running for re-election to make room for some fresh, young faces, with children in the district, that will hopefully step up and run for an open spot.
