Two weekend shootings investigated in Erie

Two weekend shootings are being investigated by Erie police.

An early morning shooting on Sunday injured two people in the city of Erie.  The shooting happened at West 4th and Plum streets around 2:15 Sunday morning.  A crowd of people were leaving a business when a fight broke out.  Two women in the crowd reportedly heard gunshots and were hit in the legs.  Both victims were taken to the hospital.  Police have not made any arrests at this time.

The second shooting involves a search for a suspect after an incident on the 1900 block of Myrtle Street.  This shooting took place around 9:30pm on Sunday.  According to reports, a man was shot and taken to Saint Vincent Hospital by private vehicle before emergency crews got to the scene.  Erie police say they are looking for a known suspect.
