After a nine-day strike, workers at Wabtec are returning to work this morning after reaching a 90-day agreement.
According to UE Local 506’s website, employees were to return to work at 6:30 this morning. Workers were to be reinstated to their pre-strike jobs without loss of seniority.
On Friday, the company provided a list of employees who will not have any work immediately available. These employees will be temporarily laid off.
The three-month agreement to end the strike was reached last Wednesday and will remain in place until union workers and the company reach a long-term collective bargaining agreement.
