“United by Animals” aims to fight cruelty in the area

Local News

All too often we bring you stories of animal cruelty and abuse.  These situations happen even more than any of us could ever know.  That’s why the Erie Humane Society Animal Cruelty Division hosted a “United By Animals” Humane Law Forum & Pet Expo Sunday at the Porrecco Center in Millcreek.

Groups like Erie Puppy Mill Awareness, Because You Cane, H.O.P.E – Erie Animal Wellness and many more were on hand to offer resources for anyone interested in volunteering for any of these organizations.  Also, Humane Officers from Erie Humane Society, ANNA Shelter, Animal Control Officers from Erie, Millcreek, and the the surrounding areas were available for guests and and volunteers to ask questions.  Outspoken advocates PA State Representative Ryan Bizzarro, and PA State Director for the Humane Society of the United States, Kristen Tullo discussed specifics about local cruelty laws.
