USS COD bumps Coast Guard Cutter leaving Cleveland

The USS COD was off to a bit of a nerve wracking start as it began its journey to Erie Sunday morning.

The submarine being towed accidentally bumped into the Coast Guard Cutter Morro Bay. The collision caused superficial damage to the hull and superstructure of the Coast Guard asset.

Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Cleveland is currently investigating.
