Investigators are hoping to learn more about what might have led 64-year-old Stephen Paddock to go on his shooting rampage, from his girlfriend who is now back in the United States. Today, President Donald Trump is traveling to Las Vegas, and we’re now getting a glimpse of the suspected gunman’s arsenal.
Stephen Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, is now back in the United States; met by Federal Agents when she arrived in Los Angeles from the Philippines. Investigators now giving us a glimpse inside the gunman’s sniper den. The arsenal including shotguns, pistols and assault rifles, and magazine clips able to hold up to 100 rounds. Under a plate on a room service cart, a surveillance camera; another one set up inside his room. Undersheriff Kevil McMahill says that is so “the suspect could watch as law enforcement or security approached his room”.
Audio from one of the officer’s body cam’s recording them telling each other, “they’re shooting right at us guys, everybody stay down.” Newly released police body camera video shows officers rushing people to safety; the barrage of bullets lasting up to 11 minutes.
Wednesday, more faces and names of those 59 innocent lives lost in the massacre revealed, as the more than 530 injured continue to recover. Those like Sheldon Mack, who tells us, “It seems surreal… Like a bad nightmare I’m gonna wake up from.”
