Victims of fraud receive generous donations

Local News
Local businesses donate time and resources to put siding on a home for a family with four children after they say they fell victim to fraud.
JET24/FOX66 first told you about the Vellinga family in November. The family paid LD Construction 28 thousand dollars to fix the siding on their home after a tree fell on their house. The project was never completed.
Lloyd Davis of LD Construction was then arrested for fraud with more than 40 other victims coming forward.
Beacon Roofing Supply then contacted the Vellinga family saving the family thousands of dollars.
“Beacon Roofing Supply showed up the very next day”said homeowner Ryan Vellinga “and offered to donate some of the materials so they donated some of the siding and materials which is a huge blessing for us we are so thankful for all the kindness that has come to us.”
Allingers Construction was then hired to take on the project, donating days worth of time and resources to fix what they say was improper work that was done by LD Construction.
“The insulation on the whole back under the side, number one it was the wrong insulation and it was all wet so we ripped everything out and we donated three free days of labor just to get everything fixed before we could do the siding” said Claude Allinger of Allinger Construction.
The family now has siding on the house, making for a warm holiday season with the children.
