An emotional five days came to a close in Meadville. The moving wall is moving on to the next town.
The scaled-down version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington arrived in Meadville with a full motorcycle escort of nearly 600 riders. It ended with a small service in between the reading of the names of those lost, an emotional experience for everyone.
Rich Anton, Event Emcee, tells us, “Reading names of those killed from Crawford County; did that yesterday from the family service… it was tough, it was tough… I struggled to get through that”.
It has been 20 years since the last time the moving wall made a stop in Meadville.
