ERIE, Pa. — Visitors were getting their last look at the animals on last day of the season at the Erie Zoo on Wednesday.
Visitors took advantage of the free admission at the zoo as it prepares to close for the off season at 5 p.m.
For some, attending the last day at the zoo as becoming a yearly tradition.
“We did it last year I think,” Karen Kuklinski said. “Were thinking about making it a tradition, just to say goodbye to the zoo for the winter.”
Don’t worry you can still get your zoo fix on Action News every Tuesday night and Thursday morning as we visit with Scott Mitchell.
While the crowds stop after Wednesday, the animals will continue on with their daily routines.
This off season giving the animal care staff an opportunity to spend more time with the animals, working on behavioral training.
The zoo will reopen on March 1.
