Volunteer firefighters go through farm rescue training

Local News

WATERFORD, Pa. – Three volunteer fire departments took part in specialized rescue drills in Waterford Wednesday.

Don Erbi Jr., from Kuhl Hose, said these training exercises are needed because there are many different scenarios these firefighters go through in rural areas that you might not seen in the city.

Firefighters trained to pull victims buried in a woodpile, along with being trapped in a skid-steer loader and other farm related rescue scenarios

50 members of Kuhl Hose, Union City Fire Department and Wattsburg Fire Department took part in the training exercise.
