Wabtec says if union doesn’t agree to concessions, they will phase out Erie work

Local News

Wabtec executives take their case directly to employees, telling workers that a two-tier wage system is the only way for the Erie plant to flourish.

The two sides are in the middle of a 90-day negotiating period that ends June 3rd.

The company told workers that work would leave Erie without the concession that would keep current workers averaging $35 an hour while new employees would start at $22 an hour.

We are asking for a union response and will bring you the latest here on yourerie.com.
