Walgreens under fire for selling tobacco products to minors

Local News

A popular drug store chain is coming under fire.

The FDA says Walgreens is a top violator when it comes to selling tobacco to minors.

Since 2010, inspectors have found nearly 1800 instances in which a store sold cigarettes, tobacco, and e-cigarettes to a person under the age of 18.

Regulators say they want to meet with Walgreens officials; a meeting company execs say they welcome.
