Local News

Online grocery shopping has helped Walmart make some gains against its rival, Amazon.

The retailer’s e-commerce sales soared 43% in its most recent quarter, helped in part by giving more shoppers the option to buy groceries from their smartphones.

Walmart is now planning to double the number of locations offering same-day delivery of groceries and will add the option of picking up online grocery orders to another 1,000 stores.
